Common Questions
10 totalWhat should I do before plugging in the pressure washer for the first time?
Make sure the motor switch is pushed to the OFF (0) position before plugging the unit into the power outlet. You should also check that the electrical supply voltage and frequency (Volt/Hz) correspond to those specified on the pressure washer rating plate. Additionally, the GFCI may need to be reset when first plugged into the electric outlet by pressing the Reset button until the power light indicator illuminates.
How do I start the pressure washer?
First, turn the water supply tap on completely, then release the safety lock and press the trigger for a few seconds until the water flow is steady. While keeping the trigger pressed, turn the switch to the ON (I) position to start the pressure washer. When restarting the motor, always keep the trigger pressed.
What water temperature can I use with this pressure washer?
The pressure washer is designed to be used with cold or lukewarm water only. The maximum water inlet temperature is 104ºF/40ºC, and you should NEVER connect it to a hot water supply as it will significantly reduce the life of the pump.
How do I apply detergent with the pressure washer?
Set the adjustable nozzle to the low-pressure, fan-spray setting, then remove the detergent tank cap and pull the onboard detergent tank out. Fill the tank with detergent designed specifically for pressure washers, insert the suction tube back into the tank, and cap it closed. Apply detergent from the bottom to the top of the dry surface to be cleaned. After allowing the detergent to remain on the surface for a short time, rinse with clean water under high pressure.
What cleaning products should I NOT use in this pressure washer?
Never use bleach, chlorine products, other corrosive chemicals, liquids containing solvents (such as paint thinners, gasoline, or oils), tri-sodium phosphate products, ammonia products, or acid-based products. Additionally, do not use household detergents, alkaline solutions, or industrial grade solutions, as these could damage the pressure washer.
What should I do if the machine stops or won't start?
Check to make sure the machine is plugged into a working outlet and verify the power cord is not damaged. Reset the GFCI and try a different outlet. If the fuse has blown, replace it and switch off any other machines using the same circuit. If the thermal sensor has been activated, leave the washer for 5 minutes to cool down. Check that hoses and connections are airtight and clean or replace valves/seals if needed.
