How do I safely adjust the seat on my Troy Bilt TB30R?

To adjust the seat, first remove the adjustment knob at the bottom of the seat. Slide the seat forward or backward as desired and retighten the adjustment bolt. Align the holes provided when positioning the seat assembly over the bracket. Make sure to use a 1/4-inch drive ratchet with a 3/8" socket when securing the seat, and ensure that all bolts are installed correctly according to the manual (Page 12).
