What should I do if the dryer will not start?

First, make sure the dryer door is closed completely, as an open door will prevent the dryer from running. Also check that the Stop/Start knob is turned to the On setting and that you are pressing and holding the Stop/Start knob until you hear the dryer drum moving. If the dryer still will not run, check that a household fuse has not blown or a circuit breaker has not tripped — electric dryers use 2 household fuses or circuit breakers, and both should be replaced or reset.
