How do I clean the lint screen?

Pull the lint screen out of its holder and roll the lint off with your fingers before every load — do not rinse or wash the screen to remove lint, as wet lint is hard to remove. Every 6 months (or more frequently if clogged), clean the screen with a nylon brush, hot water, and liquid detergent, then rinse and thoroughly dry it before reinstalling. Never run the dryer with a loose, damaged, blocked, or missing lint screen, as this can cause overheating and damage. (Page 9)
