How do I winterize my washer before moving or storage in freezing weather?

Shut off both water faucets and disconnect and drain the water inlet hoses, then pour 1 qt (1 L) of R.V.-type antifreeze into the basket. Run the washer on a drain and spin setting for about 30 seconds to mix the antifreeze with remaining water, then unplug the washer or disconnect power. When ready to use again, flush the pipes, reconnect hoses, and run a complete cycle with 1 cup (250 mL) of detergent to clean out the antifreeze. (Page 5)
