How do I replace the water filter and how often should it be done?

Replace the disposable water filter when indicated on the water filter status display or at least every 6 months. To replace it, open the filter compartment door located on the right-hand side of the refrigerator ceiling, turn the old filter counterclockwise and pull it out, then insert the new filter, turn it clockwise until it locks, and flush the water system. Closing the filter compartment door after installing the new filter will automatically reset the filter status tracking feature. (Page 16)
