How do I clean the dishwasher's filter system?

Remove the bottom rack, then grasp the filter assembly and turn it counterclockwise to remove the Large Object Trap. Turn it upside-down and gently tap it on a flat surface to dislodge debris, and flush the Micro Filter under running water. To reinstall, return the fine filter to position and turn the locking nut clockwise until locked. (Page 15)
