What is the recommended amount of detergent to use for most loads?

1 tablespoon (15ml) of detergent will clean most loads. The detergent dispenser cup has measuring lines at 1 tablespoon (15ml) and 1.75 tablespoons (25ml), with a maximum capacity of 3 tablespoons (45ml). If you do not know the hardness of your water supply, start with 15ml and increase if necessary.
