    Refrigerator Compartment

    Warning:

Do not store explosive substances in this equipment. There is a danger of explosion!

The refrigerator compartment is the ideal place to store cooked dishes, bread and pastries, preserves, condensed milk, hard cheese, cold-sensitive fruit, vegetables and citrus fruits.

Points to Consider When Buying Fresh Food: How fresh food is at the time of purchase is fundamental to its preservation.

Remember: The fresher the food when placed in the fresh compartment, the longer it can be stored and preserved in it.

Therefore, we recommend that you always pay careful attention to buying the freshest food possible.

In the case of prepared dishes or packaged food, the product expiration date indicated by the manufacturer must be taken into account.

Points to Consider When Placing Food in the Appliance

    ■ Place packaged food or cover food in the unit. This prevents food from dehydrating, discoloring or losing its nutritional value and aroma. It also prevents the mixing of odors and flavors, as well as discoloration of plastic parts.

    ■ Allow hot food or drinks to cool to room temperature before placing them in the appliance.

    ■ Do not obstruct or block the air outlet openings with food to allow free air circulation.

Food placed in the vicinity of the air outlet openings may become frozen as a result of cold air coming out of them.

    ■ Do not allow fats and oils to come into contact with plastic elements inside the refrigerator or the door seal.

    Page 36

    Super Cool Function

This function cools the refrigerator compartment for approximately 6 hours until reaching the lowest possible temperature, then switches back to the previously set temperature.

Warning: Do not store explosive substances in this appliance. There is danger of explosion!

Caution: Do not refreeze food that has thawed or begun to thaw. Cook or roast food before freezing. Never store frozen food for a storage time longer than the maximum permitted.

The freezer compartment is suitable for: ■storing frozen products, ■preparing ice cubes, ■freezing fresh food.

Note: Always ensure that the freezer compartment door is properly closed! If the door is not closed properly, food can thaw. Strong frost accumulation occurs in the freezer compartment. Additionally, high electrical energy consumption occurs.

    Freezing and Storing Food

Points to Consider When Buying Frozen Food

■Pay attention to ensure the packaging of the frozen food or product has no damage. ■Verify the expiration date of the food. Make sure it has not expired. ■The freezer temperature indication at the store where you purchase food should show a minimum value of 0 °F (-18 °C). ■When shopping, remember that it is best to buy frozen food at the last moment. Transport it directly home in an isothermal bag. Once home, place it immediately in the freezer compartment.

    Page 38

    Super Freezing

To preserve the nutritional value, vitamins and appearance of food, the center must be frozen as quickly as possible.

To prevent an unwanted increase in the internal temperature of the appliance when placing fresh food in the freezing compartment, the super freezing function should be activated several hours before introducing food into the appliance. Normally 4–6 hours is sufficient. To use the maximum freezing capacity of the appliance, the super freezing function should remain activated for 24 hours.
