What happens to the refrigerator during Vacation mode, and what precautions should I take?
In Vacation mode, the appliance automatically sets the refrigerator compartment to 58°F (14°C), while the cool-fresh and freezer compartments remain at their current temperatures. Because the refrigerator compartment heats up in this mode, no food should be stored in it, as the increased temperature may cause bacteria to multiply and spoil food. Ice cube production and the water dispenser are also switched off during Vacation mode. (Page 16)
