How do I clean the drain pump?

First, use a screwdriver to release the lock pins, tip the kick panel and pull upwards to remove it. Take the drain hose out of the retainer, remove the plug, and release the washing water into a container, emptying it several times if needed. Once no more water runs out, replace the plug, unscrew the pump cover, clean the pump housing, remove any foreign objects, ensure the impeller turns freely, then replace and tighten the pump cover before re-securing the kick panel.
