How long does the cooktop surface stay hot after the elements are turned off?

The cooking surface will hold heat and remain hot for up to 25 or 30 minutes after the elements have been turned off. The hot surface indicator light will remain on until the cooking area has cooled to a safe-to-touch temperature. Use caution when working or cleaning around the cooktop while the hot surface indicator light is still on. (Pages 5, 7)
