What cleaners should I avoid using on the glass ceramic cooktop surface?

Avoid glass cleaners containing ammonia or chlorine bleach, as these ingredients may permanently etch or stain the cooktop. Caustic oven cleaners such as Easy Off®, abrasive cleaners, metal scouring pads like Scotch Brite®, soap-filled scouring pads like SOS®, powdery cleaners with chlorine bleach, and flammable cleaners like lighter fluid or WD-40 should also be avoided.
