What should I do before using the NEM73UC cooktop for the first time?

Remove all packing materials and literature from the cooktop surface. While cool, wipe with a clean, damp sponge and dry thoroughly. Apply the Cooktop Cleaning Creme® packaged with the cooktop and buff with a clean cloth. There may be a slight odor during the first several uses, which is normal and will disappear.
