These spills require immediate removal — failure to do so can permanently damage the cooktop surface. While the surface is still hot, use the razor blade scraper held at a 30-degree angle to push the soil off the heated area, being careful not to gouge or scratch the glass. Remove the pan and turn off the element first, and wear an oven mitt for protection. After the surface cools, remove any residue and apply the Cooktop Cleaning Creme®. (Page 9)
