Remove all packing materials and literature from the cooktop surface, then wipe it with a clean, damp sponge and dry it while cool. Next, apply the Cooktop Cleaning Creme® packaged with the cooktop and buff with a clean cloth. There may be a slight odor during the first several uses, which is normal and will disappear. Read all safety precautions and Use and Care Manual information prior to operating. (Page 5)
