How often should I clean the filters?

The cleaning frequency depends on your usage habits. If you scrape (but don't rinse) before loading, clean the filter 4 times a year. If you rinse before loading, clean it 3 times per year. With hard water, increase cleaning to 12 times per year. Always clean the filter after washing loads with large amounts of food soils or heavy starch content.
