What is the correct way to load knives and sharp utensils in the dishwasher?

Load knives and other sharp utensils with edges down to reduce the risk of cut-type injuries. Place forks and spoons with their handles down, and knives with their handles up in the silverware basket. Do not allow children to handle or play near knives and sharp utensils. (Pages 7, 16)
