How do I clean the water inlet strainers?

First release water pressure by turning off the water tap, selecting a wash cycle, touching Start/Pause for 30 seconds, then turning the selector to Off. At the tap end, remove the hose and rinse the strainer under running water. At the washer end, use narrow pliers to grasp and pull the strainer from the inlet port and rinse it under running water before reconnecting. (Page 31)
