Remove the ice container and discard the ice, then the ice maker will produce a fresh supply. Ice should be used at least twice weekly to keep the cubes separated. This can also occur when ice cubes are hollow (shells with water inside), which happens when the ice maker doesn't get enough water, usually from a clogged water filter.
