How should knives and silverware be loaded into the dishwasher?

Load sharp knives with handles up to reduce the risk of cut-type injuries. Place forks and knife handles up in the removable basket, spoons with handles down, and mix knives, forks, and spoons so they do not nest together. Small plastic items like measuring spoons should go in the bottom of the silverware basket with silverware placed on top. (Pages 7, 15)
