What items should I not wash in the dishwasher?
Do not wash iron, pewter, tin, wood, or non-dishwasher safe plastics. Do not wash non-dishwasher items such as electronic air cleaner filters, furnace filters, or paint brushes. If plastic doesn't say 'DISHWASHER SAFE,' test one piece in the top rack before washing an entire set.
