How do I properly operate the oven for the first time?

Before first use, remove all accessories and packaging from the cooking compartment, clean the oven cavity with hot soapy water, and run the oven empty to burn off manufacturing oils. Heat the oven to 500°F on bake for approximately one hour, then switch to broil for about 10 minutes, and once cooled, wipe out with hot soapy water and replace the rack guides. It is advised to run your vent hood during this initial startup. (Page 23)
