What is the anti-tip device and how do I verify it is properly installed?

The anti-tip device is a safety bracket that must be installed to the structure and/or the range to prevent the range from tipping over and causing injury or death. To verify proper installation, carefully tip the range forward by pulling from the back to ensure the anti-tip bracket engages the range leg — the range should not move more than 1 inch (2.5 cm). The anti-tip device must be re-engaged any time the range is moved. (Page 5)
