How do I safely board and ride the Handicare 1100?

Fold down the armrests and seat, sit down, unfold the footrest and place both feet completely on the footplate. Fasten the seatbelt securely so it clicks, insert the key and turn it 90 degrees clockwise, then move and hold the joystick in the desired direction of travel. Always sit as far back in the seat as possible and never stand on the stairlift. (Page 4)
