How does Auto-Off work on the HP Envy 6400e and when is it disabled?

Auto-Off turns the printer off completely after 2 hours of inactivity to help reduce energy use, and you must use the Power button to turn the printer back on. Auto-Off is always enabled if the printer does not have network or fax capability. However, Auto-Off is disabled when the printer's wireless or Wi-Fi Direct capability is turned on, or when a fax, USB, or Ethernet network connection is established.
