What types of discs are NOT compatible with HP Recovery Manager when creating recovery media?
Rewritable discs are not compatible with HP Recovery Manager software. This includes CD±RW, DVD±RW, double-layer DVD±RW, and BD-RE (rewritable Blu-ray) discs. You must use only high-quality blank DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-R DL, or DVD+R DL discs, or alternatively a high-quality blank USB flash drive. (Page 8)
