Can I set up the HP LaserJet MFP M139e-M142e using a USB cable?

Printers with a label covering the USB port must be set up using HP Smart software and an Internet connection — you cannot use USB for initial setup. After setup is complete, you can print using a USB cable if needed, but the printer must also remain connected to the Internet. Remove the label to uncover the USB port when needed. (Page 2)
