What is the recommended thread tension for different fabrics on my machine?

Adjust the thread tension based on fabric thickness and type; balanced tension has threads locked between two layers of fabric. If the bobbin thread shows on the top or needle thread forms loops under the fabric, adjust the dial to tighten or loosen accordingly.
