What should I do if the drive has been in storage for more than three years?

If the drive has been inactive or in storage for more than three years, you must apply input power to the drive for 8 hours prior to actually operating the motor. This is necessary to reform the electrolytic DC bus capacitors, which can develop excessive leakage current during long periods of inactivity and may fail prematurely if the drive is operated without this conditioning step.
