How do I install or replace the water filter?

For first-time installation, remove the filter substitute cap by turning it counterclockwise a quarter turn and pulling it down; for subsequent replacements, remove the old filter the same way. Insert the two tabs on the new filter tip into the two slots in the refrigerator filter receptacle, then turn the filter clockwise a quarter turn to lock it into place. After installation, dispense 2.5 gallons (9.46 L) of water to purge the system, and check the shelf area for leaks. (Page 16)
