What should I do to prepare the refrigerator if there is a power outage?

If the power will be out for 24 hours or less, keep all refrigerator doors closed to help foods stay cold and frozen. If the power will be out for more than 24 hours, either remove all frozen food to a frozen food locker, or place 2 lbs. (1 kg) of dry ice in the freezer for every cubic foot of freezer space, which will keep food frozen for two to four days. Do not refreeze frozen foods that have thawed completely. (Page 18)
