Why is my washing machine vibrating or making noise?

Check if all the transit bolts and packing have been removed during installation, as this is a common cause of vibration and noise. Ensure all four feet are resting firmly on the ground and the machine is level using a spirit level. If the wash load is uneven, stop the washer and redistribute it, as heavy wash loads may also produce thumping sounds which are usually normal.
