What is the Sanitize option and how does it work?
The Sanitize option raises the water temperature in the final rinse to approximately 154°F (68°C) to sanitize dishes and glassware in accordance with NSF/ANSI Standard 184 for Residential Dishwashers. This option adds heat and time to the cycle. If the Sanitize light blinks, the load is NOT sanitized, which can happen if the cycle is interrupted or the water heater is set too low.
