How do I start a wash cycle on the Maytag W10401489A dishwasher?

Run hot water at the sink nearest your dishwasher until the water is hot, then push the door firmly closed and select your wash cycle and options before pressing START/RESUME. For fully integrated models with controls on top, press START/RESUME once and close the door within 3 seconds or the lights will flash and the cycle will not begin. If the door is not closed within 3 seconds, press START/RESUME again and shut the door within 3 seconds. (Page 4)
