Why does my dishwasher cycle run for such a long time?

Cycles are designed to use less water and energy and can typically run up to 3 hours. A water heater setting below 120°F (49°C) will cause the dishwasher to delay longer while heating cooler water, and certain options like Heated Dry add an additional 30–90 minutes. Try running the Quick Wash cycle or running hot water at a nearby faucet before starting the cycle to reduce time. (Page 10)
