How often should I clean and lubricate the brew group?

The brew group should be rinsed under the tap weekly by removing it from the machine. In addition, the brew group should be lubricated every 2 months using Philips grease (type HD5061) applied to the piston, the shaft at the bottom, and the rails on both sides. After rinsing, allow the brew group to air-dry before reinserting it — do not dry it with a cloth, as fibers can collect inside. (Pages 13–14)
