How do I drain the water from the water heater?

First cut off the electrical power supply. Stop the inflow of water from the water mains and open the hot water tap of the mixing-faucet. Open the water tap 7 (fig 4) to drain the water from water tank. If this tap is not installed, you can drain water by lifting the safety return-valve's lever (if equipped with one) or by disconnecting the inlet pipe from the water main.
