What is the recommended water temperature for best dishwashing results?

For best dishwashing results, water should be 120°F (49°C) as it enters the dishwasher. If your water heater is located far from the dishwasher, run hot water at the nearest faucet for at least 1 minute before starting a cycle to minimize cold water in the line. You can check the temperature by placing a candy or meat thermometer in a glass measuring cup while hot water runs into it. (Page 14)
