How do I clean the filter screen in my dishwasher?

To clean the filter screen, unload the bottom rack and slide it forward or remove it entirely to access the filter screen. Remove collected particles from the screen with your fingers or a paper towel. Then replace the bottom rack with the rack bumpers facing the door. Make sure the dishwasher has cooled before cleaning.
