How do I properly load the top rack of my dishwasher?

The top rack is designed for cups, glasses, and smaller items. Place items with open ends facing down for cleaning and drainage, and position glasses and cups in the rows between the tines rather than over the tines to avoid breakage. Load plastic items securely in the top rack only if they are marked dishwasher safe, and do not let delicate items like stemware, china, or crystal touch each other to prevent damage. (Page 10)
