How do I stop my dishwasher during a cycle?

You can stop your dishwasher anytime during a cycle by opening the door slightly and waiting for the spraying action to stop before opening fully. To resume the cycle, simply close the door. Alternatively, turn the Cycle Control knob slowly clockwise until you hear water draining, let the dishwasher drain completely, open the door, and turn the knob to OFF. (Page 7-8)
