How do I use fabric softener in the Cabrio, and what happens if I overfill the dispenser?

Pour a measured amount of liquid fabric softener into the fabric softener tray and then select the Fabric Softener option on the control panel. The Fabric Softener option must be selected to ensure proper distribution at the correct time in the rinse cycle. Overfilling the dispenser will cause fabric softener to immediately dispense into the washer rather than at the correct time. (Page 7)
