How should I prepare the washer for winter storage or if it won't be used for an extended period?

To winterize the washer, shut off both water faucets and disconnect and drain the water inlet hoses. Then put 1 qt. (1 L) of R.V.-type antifreeze in the basket and run the washer on the Rinse & Spin cycle for about 30 seconds to mix the antifreeze with remaining water. Finally, unplug the washer or disconnect power. (Page 10)
