How do I deep clean the lint screen when detergent residue builds up?
You should clean the lint screen with a nylon brush every 6 months, or more frequently if it becomes clogged due to residue buildup from laundry detergent or fabric softener. To wash it, roll off the lint with your fingers, wet both sides with hot water, scrub with a nylon brush and liquid detergent, rinse with hot water, and thoroughly dry with a clean towel before reinstalling. A clogged lint screen can cause longer drying times or cause the dryer to stop before the load is completely dry. (Page 10)
