Why is my dryer taking too long to dry clothes?

The most common causes of long drying times are a clogged lint screen or lint screen housing, a blocked exhaust vent or outside exhaust hood, an exhaust vent that is too long or has too many turns, or a room temperature below 7°C (45°F). You can check air movement by running the dryer for 5–10 minutes and holding your hand under the outside exhaust hood — if you feel no air movement, clean or replace the exhaust vent. Also ensure you are not using the Fluff Air cycle or No Heat setting if heat is needed. (Page 12)
