Why won't my dryer start?

The most common reasons a dryer won't start include the door not being fully closed, the Stop/Start knob not being turned to the On setting, or not pressing and holding the Stop/Start knob long enough until you hear the drum moving. For electric dryers, a blown household fuse or tripped circuit breaker can also prevent starting — electric dryers use 2 fuses or circuit breakers, so both should be replaced or reset. (Page 12)
