What does Whirlpool's limited warranty cover for the WED4985EW?

For one year from the date of purchase, Whirlpool will pay for Factory Specified Replacement Parts and repair labor to correct defects in materials or workmanship that existed when the appliance was purchased. The warranty is valid only in the United States or Canada and requires proof of original purchase date. Service calls caused by improper venting, installation issues, or misuse are not covered and will be the customer's responsibility. (Page 13)
