What should I do before storing or moving my dryer?

For non-use or storage, unplug the dryer or disconnect power, close the gas shutoff valve (for gas dryers only), and clean the lint screen. For moving, additionally make sure the leveling legs are secure in the dryer base and use tape to secure the dryer door. Follow the Installation Instructions when reinstalling the dryer to locate, level, and connect it properly.
