Why is my dryer making unusual sounds?

If the dryer hasn't been used for a while, there may be a thumping sound during the first few minutes of operation. If vibrating occurs, verify that all four legs are installed and the dryer is level front to back and side to side. Also check the front and rear edges of the drum for small objects like coins, buttons, or paper clips that may be caught between the drum and the dryer.
